Review Body
The 1st half started with both teams attempting to get their passing game together and force some chances but the game was very much end to stuff with no real openings for either side, Doddinghurst's midfield of Alfie Baldry, William Stround and Oscar Pace were well marshalled by Chelmsford City. Chelmsford City began to up the pressure and some good defending by Doddinghurst through Tom Richards, Kai Chalkley and Frankie Day held firm, with Ed Peace pulling off some great saves, but eventually pressure told and Chelmsford scored to lead at half time 1 - 0. Chelmsford City started the 2nd half as they finished the 1st by keeping the pressure on, but 2nd half sub Max Citroen was up to the task in defence for Doddinghurst. With 10 mins to Doddinghurst really cranked up the pressure and went close through Kai Gilbrook, the break through for Doddinghurst came with 5 mins to go with a wonderful finish by Alfie Cerulli after a great through ball by William Stroud. The game finished 1 - 1 and keep Doddinghurst unbeaten in the league. The game was well played in great spirit by both sets of players.
